Sir Donnerhall, 2006 National Young Horse National Champion and Reserve World Champion, has it all! He proved it to us all at the Oldenburger Approvals in Vechta where he was distinguished with a 1c premium and at his 30 day test where he won in all three gaits with top scores between 9.0 and 10.0. The ‘foreign’ riders awarded him 9.5 for rideability. He was extremely impressive showing excellent rideability, rhythm and suppleness. Sir Donnerhall was deserved 2005 Oldenburg County Champion in Rastede and won his 70 day test in Adelheidsdorf with a sensational result. He won the test and was awarded a dressage index of 163 points – a score never achieved by a stallion before. His jumping ability is also worth mentioning; he won this category as well with a total index of 151 points. Much hope rests on this fine horse. Following in his sire Sandro Hit’s footsteps, he reveals his top quality at all his appearances. A very good walk, his trot is so graceful it swings through his whole body and a wonderfully supple and magnificent uphill bouncy canter. His sire Sandro Hit, popular producer in the dressage scene, passed on all the charm and quality needed to produce an exceptional stallion. His origin is ingenious--a top stallion for the sport and stud , combining a fine Donnerhall mare together with Sandro Hit and the coveted blood line of the Thoroughbred Grundymann xx. Sir Donnerhall has been equally as successful in 2005 as a sire; his foals were present at all auctions in Germany and were sold for top prices. IThree of the ten best colts at the 2006 German Foal Championship were by Sir Donnerhall n Munster-Handorf, Vechta, Schwaben, Munich-Riem and at the A.O.S. auction, his foals were the most expensive. He passes on his championship quality to his foals. He sired the champion filly and the champion colt at the South German Breeding Association foal championships and the champion filly at the German Foal Championships in Lienen.
Sir Donnerhall is a stallion who has created quite a stir. His second crop of foals completed the licensing tests with excellent results in 2008. The reserve champion in Oldenburg, an outstandingly fluent mover who captivated onlookers and sold at auction for EUR 130,000, was by Sir Donnerhall. The fourth-placed premium stallion was another Sir Donnerhall progeny, as was second reserve champion at the North Rhine-Westphalian licensing in Münster-Handorf, Son of Cologne. Sir Donnerhall’s popularity is in clear evidence at auction. Sankt Hülfer was the highest priced lot at the Vechta Elite Spring Auction, selling for EUR 300,000, only to be topped by Schickeria’s sale price of EUR 355,000 at the NRW Elite Autumn Auction. His son Sir Rubin – first reserve champion 2007 – won the Oldenburg Regional Championship for Three Year Old Riding Stallions and Surprise von der Heide was first reserve champion at the Oldenburg Elite Mare Show. Even the first crop of foals set a benchmark when Sir Donato was sold at the Münster-Handorf auction for EUR 150,000. Sir Donnerhall fascinates onlookers wherever he goes. Reserve champion at his licensing in 2003, he had the highest index at his 30-day test and achieved an unheard of 163 points in his 70-day test dressage index. Scoring 9.2, he won the World Championship for Five Year Old Dressage Horses qualifier to take the Vice World Champion title, and he later won the Bundeschampionat. Sir Donnerhall’s pedigree is the perfect combination of genes. His dam, Contenance D, is a “Brillantring” mare, who produced another licensed stallion which is full brother to Sir Donnerhall. Grundyman xx in the fourth generation rounds off the pedigree with the crucial refining element of thoroughbred blood. Sir Donnerhall is a rare example of a pedigree stallion.
Sandro Hit is the outstanding son of Sandro Song. He is a most beautiful type of the modern sport horse, possessing the true uphill conformation required for top-level dressage competitions, which allows him to perform his movements with such ease and grace. He has already gained a number of international young dressage horse championships and to add variety to the pedigree his ¾ brother Sakrobat is an international showjumper. Sandro Hit is by the outstanding jumping stallion Sandro Song, who is by the well-known top sire of showjumping stallions and founder of his own successful sire line, Sandro. This stallion, which has over 44 graded sons, is also a source of world-class dressage horses. Loretta, dam of Sandro Hit, is also the dam of the super young graded stallion Diamond Hit and of a full sister to Sandro Hit that was first a champion foal in 1997 and then champion State Premium mare at Vechta in 1999. She herself is closely related on both sides of her pedigree to the international showjumper Spillers Rainy Day and her sire Ramino is by the outstanding sire Ramiro, ranked 2nd in the WBFSH list of showjumping sires in the period 1991/2000 and 10th in the period 1999/2000. Ramiro is the sire of over a 100 graded sons as well as many top graded daughters in several countries, including Belgium, Germany and The Netherlands. He is also the sire of over five dressage horses that competed at international level. His offspring feature such well known names as Ratina Z, winner of team gold and individual silver at the Barcelona Olympics and team gold at the Atlanta Olympics. He had an incredible breeding index of 160 and 1st in the WBFSH rankings in the period 1990/1999.Sandro Hit’s maternal great grandsire is the outstanding sire of dressage horses, Welt As, 2nd in the WBFSH dressage rankings for both 1999/2000. He is the sire of the mighty Gestion Bonfire, individual gold medal winner at the Sydney Olympics 2000, and 1st in the individual rankings for dressage 1999/2000. As a result Welt As’ progeny winnings to date total almost £400,000 and his 14 graded sons includes such top performers as the international dressage stallion Diamond VII.
Catherston Gold Storm is a beautiful example of the modern type of stallion that Britain needs. He has great charisma and charm. His paces are exceptional and he has that wondeful elevated trot that takes your breath away. His jumping ability is first class, as was seen at the BWBS Grading in November 1993 where he graded with flying colours. In 1994 he was winner of the Stoneways 3yo Champs, gaining 8 for walk, trot and canter, 7 for his jump and 8.5 for his temperament. He is a most talented Dressage Horse who is beautifully balanced, very supple and enjoys learning. He is working at Medium level. His foals are, as expected, full of Quality with great bone and excellent paces.
Dutch Gold needs very little introduction. he has proven himself as one of the leading Dressage Stallions in Great Britain and is by the Famous Dutch Courage, the World Bronze Medal Dressage horse and sire of Graded Stallions and Mares, as well International Dressage Horses, Show Jumpers and Eventers. Dutch Gold also competed successfully in BHS Horse Trials to Open Intermediate level and won the Midland Bank Championships in 1983. He is a Grade C showjumper.
Catherston Lonely Breeze was Champion Small Hack of the Year at Wembley, as well as winning at dessage and in the show ring as a broodmare.
