Lolita Van Fortuna

Lolita was sired by Trompie van Smitsvlei, a son of well Jildert Vb (Leffert 306 Preferent x Oege 267 Preferent), one of the most influential Friesian stallions in SA to date. Jildert was a top sire and also had a successful showing career. The dam of Trompie is Moon van Smitsvlei, a Star daughter of Brun Vb (Reitse 272 Preferent x Wessel 237 Preferent) and Quinta (Oege 267 Preferent x Naen 264 Preferent).

The dam line of Lolita (stam 242) goes back to Leona-Rene HSA. Dam Zola van Smitsvlei Bb1 Vb was sired by Adel vd Lievendaal Vb (Oege 267 Preferent x Tsjalling 235 Preferent). Oege was known for his long and thick mane and tail, Friesian characteristics for which he was known to pass on to his offspring. Naen was known as a moderniser of the Friesian breed, contributing positively to the riding and sporting ability of the breed.
